Processing usually involves extracting carbohydrates (sugars) or fats from the natural plantbased product. To then proces them in a high dosage into the products you find in the supermarket.
The rest of nutrients, such as fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals, are removed. Products such as starch, sugar, glucose syrup, but also wheat flour are processed raw materials.
